NRL Match Reviews

My intention is to write match reviews for every NRL game from this time on. That may seem a little bit like biting off more than I can chew but I guess only time will tell. I will watch every run, tackle, try, goal and intercept throughout the season and share my opinion with any other rugby league fan willing to read it. When a player throws a dummy a scoots away from the ruck, I will be there. When a big prop forward charges up over the advantage line, I will be there, and when it’s all finished I will bore you with my interpretation of it.



Rugby League is a funny game, especially now with the salary cap making the teams so evenly matched. On any given day the team on the bottom of ladder can defeat the team coming first. I really like that. I like attacking footy, so games which end in big close scores excite me. Golden point games are the best don’t you reckon? I know it would be cruel to the players but I’d like every game to go for 100 minutes. Dead set, I could watch rugby league all day and all night and not get sick of it.



My match reviews will probably end up being nonsensical rants but who cares? As long as I enjoy writing them that’s the main thing! At the end of the day, the bottom line is that rugby league will be the winner when the smoke clears. I’ll be happy as long as my match reviews flow like a good chip over the top and re-gather.
